NovaUCD Journey of the Entrepreneur from Research to Commercialisation
Over 110 researchers and academics attended the NovaUCD Journey of the Enterpreneur from Research to Commercialisation Seminar Series. This series of four seminars was offered weekly in September/October 2005.
This Journey Series followed the path taken by entrepreneurs as they take their research from the lab to the market. It gave academics and researchers an insight into the process, the lessons learned, and things to watch out for along the way. Topics included, market research, choosing the appropriate route to commercialisation and the business planning process. The emphasis was on real life applications to encourage participants to think innovatively about the commercial potential of their research.
