Bio-incubation Facilities at NovaUCD
A total of 340 sq.m. of bio-incubation or
'wet-lab' space which can accommodate 4-6 biotechnology
companies is available at NovaUCD.
This
bio-incubation space enables the facilities and services
of NovaUCD to be accessed by the promoters of biotechnology
start-up companies originating both on and off the University campus.

This, the third-phase of development at NovaUCD, involved the development of one wing of the east courtyard of the NovaUCD complex and offers specialised facilities for biotechnology companies. Laboratories are equipped with power and water supply, sinks, fume hoods and benching as well as voice and data points. In addition companies locating in these laboratories will be facilitated in accessing the full range of technology and general facilities available on the Belfield campus. Office space for companies locating in the laboratories will also be provided in NovaUCD.
The bioincubation space at NovaUCD was funded (€1 million) by Enterprise Ireland and UCD. Additional financial support (€266,500) has been granted by Enterprise Ireland for additional equipment.
